JustChords is a chord sheet and setlist management tool for musicians. All your songs, setlists, and preferences are stored on your own device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not have a user account system and we do not operate servers that store your personal data.
Everything you create in the app — songs, setlists, folders, notes, and settings — is stored locally on your device or synced through your personal iCloud account. We have no access to this data.
The app uses your microphone for real-time pitch detection to assist with chord recognition and tuning. Audio is processed entirely on-device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
The app may access your camera for OCR (optical character recognition) to import chord sheets from photos. Images are processed on-device and are never stored or sent to external servers.
The app uses Bluetooth to connect to external MIDI controllers and foot pedals for hands-free page turning. MIDI data is exchanged locally between your device and connected hardware only. No data is collected or transmitted externally.
If you connect your Spotify account, the app integrates with the Spotify SDK to display currently playing tracks. Your Spotify credentials are managed entirely by the Spotify app and governed by Spotify's Privacy Policy. JustChords does not store your Spotify credentials.
The app can embed YouTube videos for reference. YouTube playback is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. JustChords does not collect or store payment information. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to all transactions.
If you enable iCloud, your songs and setlists sync through your personal iCloud account under Apple's Privacy Policy. We cannot access your iCloud data.
The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
We may update this policy as the app's features change. The current version is always available on this page.
