Section Colors

Section color rules make sections such as Chorus or Bridge stand out in the song viewer: a colored label, a bold or colored lyric text. Rules apply to every song and are shared across your devices on the same iCloud account.

Where to find it

Open a song, tap the settings icon and go to Font & Size → Section colors (see SongViewer Settings).

Creating a rule

  1. Tap Add rule.
  2. Section – enter the section Name (for example Chorus) and choose Match: Exact match or Starts with (so Verse also colors Verse 1, Verse 2 …).
  3. Label – optionally switch on Custom color and pick the color of the section label.
  4. Lyrics – optionally make the text of the section Bold and/or switch on Custom color to color the lyrics.

In the list, a ✱ after the name means Starts with; the colored circles show the label and lyrics colors. Swipe or long-press a rule to delete it.
